What is Irrigation
Design?
BSEN 4210
Irrigation Systems Design is a senior-level course intended to combine principles of fluid hydraulics, natural resources, process engineering, and soil sciences in order to properly analyze and audit irrigation sites and designs. Upon the completion of this course, Rowe should be able to properly design and operate an irrigation system in a multitude of capacities and industries.
An engineer with training in irrigation design should be able to use their discretion to properly irrigate a body of land while keeping the principles of water and soil conservation in mind in order to maintain and/or improve the ecological state of the site being considered. By combining the principles of irrigation design with the application of analyzing irrigation systems in a lab setting, Rowe will develop the technical knowledge necessary to go into any industry involving irrigation practices.
